Katherine is a passionate Discovery advocate, public speaker and co-founder of Sprint Zero, an organisation that helps digital product teams make better decisions and build products their customers love. Her career in digital has afforded her the opportunity to work with a diverse range of businesses in a number of industries, from finance, banking and energy, to culture, arts and entertainment. Through Sprint Zero, her goal is to address the biggest challenge she's seen teams face: integrating continuous discovery practices into their delivery workflows.
Every year, businesses around the world invest millions of dollars in Agile transformations. They bring in the big guns to help set up Agile Centres of Excellence. They embrace Scrum. They implement the Spotify model. They switch to Jira. And while all of this is (mostly) great, they're often missing an important piece of the puzzle - Discovery. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride, Discovery is seldom given the same level of rigour. But what if it was?
In this talk, Katherine will paint a picture of a world where Discovery benefits from all of the frameworks, tools and investment that businesses pour into delivery. She will discuss the elements of successful Agile implementations, and how we could apply this same thinking to business-wide Discovery practices. Learn about new frameworks and approaches to scaling your business’ discovery capability, new tools to support your workflows, and be inspired by stories of businesses who have made this happen.
